INTERIOR
INFINITI QX60

When you’ve got miles to go behind the wheel, it’s important to choose a vehicle that can help you go the distance and keep you comfortable along the way. Both the INFINITI QX60 and the Acura MDX do just that thanks to their premium and spacious cabins.

A Seat in First Class

Both vehicles provide lavish interiors that help you indulge in ultimate comfort. For starters, the INFINITI QX60 makes leather-appointed seats standard, whereas you’ll find a leatherette-trimmed interior on the Acura. Heated front seats are standard in both models; however, you’ll only find available climate-controlled seating in the INFINITI.

Comfort in All Seating Appointments

Their cabin sizes differ as well. For more detailed dimensions, see the chart below:

Dimensions
INFINITI QX60 (front/second/third row)
Acura MDX (front/second/third row)
Headroom 40.8/37.5/35.7 inches 38.5/38.1/36.2 inches
Legroom 42.1/37.7/28 inches 41.6/38.5/29.1 inches

While many of the measurements are close, an obvious difference comes with the third-row hip room. The INFINITI QX60 provides 45.2 inches of third-row hip room, while the Acura offers 40.6 inches. With that added wiggle room, even passengers in the third row can kick back and relax without feeling cramped.

COMFORT
INFINITI QX60

Every person has different driving preferences. Some like the windows down, while others prefer a climate-controlled cabin. Some prefer to call their partner on the way home from work, whereas others prefer to sink into their favorite podcast. Regardless of how you choose to spend your time at the wheel, the INFINITI QX60 and the Acura MDX will surely keep you entertained and cozy.

Cozy Cabin Accoutrements

In addition to how much space you’ll have in either SUV, you’ll also find various standard amenities to keep you calm, cool, and collected, no matter where your travels take you. Inside either model, you’ll find these standard matching features:

  • Moonroof
  • Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control
  • Multi-way adjustable front seats
  • Voice Recognition technology
  • Wireless smartphone integration
Comfort at Every Turn

Despite these impressive similarities, the INFINITI can provide comfort in more ways than the Acura. For instance, a heated steering wheel comes standard, so you won’t have to worry about chilly fingers! You can even configure the cabin with available quilted Semi-Aniline leather seats!

While drivers of the Acura MDX can also experience a heated steering wheel and perforated Milano premium leather-trimmed seats, you’ll have to upgrade your model to do so, whereas these features come standard on all trims of the QX60.

PERFORMANCE
INFINITI QX60

When you’re not traveling to work, you’re heading out on an adventure—something the INFINITI QX60 and the Acura MDX look forward to. Both SUVs are equipped to get you from Point A to Point B effortlessly; plus, they’re even powerful enough to take along some towable toys. Which model will you choose?

Strength and Speed

Now, we come to performance. A 3.5L V6 engine comes in each vehicle, but 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque in the INFINITI QX60 rivals that of the 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque in the Acura. With the engine, you’ll use a 9-speed automatic transmission in the INFINITI QX60 and a 10-speed automatic transmission in the MDX.

If you need towing capability, both cars offer it, but how much? With the INFINITI QX60, you can tow a maximum of 6,000 pounds when properly equipped. If you want the same capacity in the MDX, it falls slightly short with a maximum 5,000-pound towing capacity.

Go the Extra Mile

Gas mileage races neck and neck with these two cars. The INFINITI QX60 achieves an EPA-estimated 21 city/26 highway MPG, while the Acura achieves an EPA-estimated 19 city/26 highway MPG.*

While both vehicles achieve the same highway mileage rating, the INFINITI boasts a couple more city miles. So, if you’ve got a road trip planned, both vehicles will suffice. However, the INFINITI’s city endurance will benefit those drivers who live downtown or travel there for work.
